An initiative dedicated to funding women-led, community-based projects that benefit women and girls in New York City. The Fund's mission is to uplift women-led, grassroots projects that drive positive change for women, girls, and communities across New York City.

Women receive less than 2% of all philanthropic funding, despite leading most grassroots work.

Black women-led nonprofits receive under 0.5% of foundation funding, despite being on the frontlines .

Over 26% of NYC women and girls live in poverty, with Black and Latina disproportionately impacted.

THE FUND

The Fund Community Grant was created to promote economic empowerment, leadership development, and community transformation in New York City.

FUNDING AMOUNT

The maximum grant amount is $1,000 every quarter. 

 

​​The Fund is exploring additional revenue streams to increase our pool in the future. 

ELIGIBILITY

Women-led organizations, community groups, or individuals with community-centered projects that directly benefit women and or girls in NYC.

EVALUATION CRITERIA

Proposals will be evaluated based on innovation, sustainability, community impact, and alignment with the Fund’s mission.

FUNDED PROPOSALS 

Proposals must align with the Fund’s mission and strategic goals, addressing key issues such as education, health, entrepreneurship, and advocacy.
